We cover a variety of machines from Toyota  to Brother, Janome to Bernina and others.
This course is ideal for Schools, College and University Textile teachers and technicians.

In two days you will get to understand the basic workings of a domestic sewing machine and receive a certificate of competence upon completion.

You’ll get hints & tips and learn how to:

  • Troubleshoot sewing machine issues
  • Perform basic maintenance
  • Perform a basic service
  • Starts 10am and concludes 4pm each day
  • Machines and tools provided for duration of the  course
  • Maximum 4 people attending each course
  • Certificate awarded on successfully passing hands on tests

This domestic lockstitch TEC 1 PLUS course held at our Chichester  workshop at   Unit 3 Allens Yard Nyton Road Westergate Chichester PO20 3UA. This has been designed specifically for technicians or teachers in schools, colleges or universities to enable  the delegate to understand the basic workings of the domestic lockstitch sewing machine. Over these two days, you will be shown easy as 123 troubleshooting tips to resolve many every day problems that can occur in the sewing room. Also included is servicing,  you will look at simple settings ,hook/shuttle timing, needle bar settings and more. The end result with this new found knowledge will mean that any domestic sewing  machines  you are using should cause you less problems on a daily basis, and you will be able to carry out a simple service on your machines and general maintenance and adjustments.
